Changes to visa requirements for Israeli citizens travelling to New Zealand in any official capacity
From Friday 30 July 2004, Israelis travelling to New Zealand in any official Israeli government capacity will no longer be able to enter New Zealand under the visa free arrangement. If you are an Israeli citizen travelling:
- on a diplomatic or official or service passport, or
- on a standard Israeli passport with the intention of carrying out official Israeli government business
and you wish to travel to New Zealand, please contact the nearest New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) office.
If you are an Israeli citizen travelling on a standard Israeli passport and wish to come to New Zealand for non-official/non-visa-required business (eg as a tourist) you are not required to apply for a visa.
